𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗵𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: In an exciting effort to document the remarkable butterfly species in one of India’s most biodiverse regions, Kanha Tiger Reserve has kicked off its 3rd Butterfly Survey. A team of 74 enthusiastic volunteers from across India has gathered to participate in the three-day event, covering 38 campsites throughout the reserve.
This citizen science initiative aims to shed light on the diverse butterfly population of the area while fostering biodiversity awareness. In addition, the survey provides valuable on-ground experience for staff, who are receiving expert training to enhance their conservation skills. Volunteers will meticulously document species, contributing to crucial data collection efforts that play a role in the broader conservation mission.
