Tree walk at State Botanical Garden Bhubaneswar highlights hydrophytes and native trees

A tree walk was recently conducted at the State Botanical Garden, Bhubaneswar, with 25 enthusiastic participants exploring and documenting the region’s unique flora. The walk focused on hydrophytes thriving along the serene Kanjia and Kiakani lakes and the diverse native tree species found within the botanical garden.
Participants engaged in insightful discussions about the ecological and economic value of the documented species, highlighting their role in maintaining biodiversity and supporting sustainable livelihoods.

This initiative, supported by Central Zoo Authority and PCCFWL Odisha, underscores the importance of botanical education and community involvement in conservation efforts.
