The Tropical Forest Research Institute (TFRI), Jabalpur, under the aegis of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) and funded by the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department, organized two training programs on “Sustainable Harvesting and Conservation of Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs): Kali Musli and Arjun.”

The training sessions were conducted at the Van Dhan Kendra in the Anjaniya range of North Seoni and East Mandla Forest Divisions. A total of 170 participants, including Deputy Forest Officers, Range Officers, frontline staff, and NTFP collectors, actively participated in the program.

The initiative aims to promote sustainable harvesting practices for key NTFPs such as Kali Musli and Arjun, ensuring their long-term conservation while benefiting local communities dependent on forest resources.
