In a significant step towards enhancing wildlife protection, the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department flagged off 15 new vehicles for the Range staff of Satkosia Tiger Reserve, Kapilas, Balukhand, and Chandaka Dampada Wildlife Sanctuary. This move is set to boost the protection efforts across these key wildlife areas, providing much-needed mobility and capacity to the Range staff responsible for safeguarding biodiversity and wildlife.
The vehicles, generously provided by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), are part of a larger effort to strengthen the ground presence of the department and ensure that the wildlife and ecosystems remain protected from threats such as poaching, illegal activities, and habitat degradation.
This initiative highlights the vital role of adequate infrastructure and support for frontline staff in maintaining the security of our wildlife sanctuaries.
