KHAMMAM: Forest officials noticed a shift in the tiger’s path from the Eturunagaram forest region to the Manugur forest area in the district on Friday, one day after a high warning was issued in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district due to concerns about the tiger’s possible entry into the area.
It is a male tiger that comes to the forest areas here for mating every December, according to Sd Maqsood, the divisional forest officer for Manugur. He went on to say, “If we look at the last ten years of the tiger movement, the feline did not kill anyone.”
The officer stated that the tiger will relocate to Chhattisgarh following the mating, and that the locals had been told not to transport cattle into the forest areas.
“We anticipate that the tiger may have intruded into the Bayyaram range in Manugur division, and there is a high likelihood that the feline will attack cattle and other animals,” Maqsood added.
In the meantime, terror grips the people living in the Manugur woodland area. They are pleading with forest officials to protect themselves and their animals from the tiger. Agriculture workers are reportedly reluctant to go to work on the farms because they are afraid of the large tiger.
