Manas National Park, in collaboration with NEW Conserver, Jalgaon, successfully conducted a 5-day interpretation training program for its frontline staff, including forest guards, guides, and gypsy drivers, from November 19 to 23, 2024.
The training focused on enhancing communication skills, visitor engagement, and wildlife interpretation techniques, equipping participants to provide an enriched and educational experience for tourists. The program also emphasized the importance of conservation and a deeper understanding of the park’s rich biodiversity.
Such initiatives are vital for empowering frontline staff as ambassadors of the park’s natural heritage. These newly acquired skills will enable them to inspire visitors to support conservation efforts while ensuring the sustainable management of Manas National Park.
This capacity-building initiative highlights the park’s dedication to biodiversity preservation and community-driven conservation.
