J&K: भारतीय लोक प्रशासन संस्थान (IIPA), जम्मू-कश्मीर क्षेत्रीय शाखा ने जम्मू-कश्मीर वन विभाग के सहयोग से जम्मू में “जलवायु परिवर्तन: चुनौतियाँ, शमन और अनुकूलन” विषय पर एक विचारोत्तेजक संगोष्ठी का आयोजन किया।
इस कार्यक्रम में, मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में बी.आर. शर्मा (अध्यक्ष, आईआईपीए, जम्मू-कश्मीर) और अध्यक्षीय अतिथि के रूप में डॉ. अशोक भान (संरक्षक, आईआईपीए, जम्मू-कश्मीर) उपस्थित थे। इस अवसर पर जलवायु कार्रवाई की तत्काल आवश्यकता पर चर्चा करने के लिए विशेषज्ञ, नीति निर्माता और विद्वान एकत्रित हुए।
- वासु यादव (अध्यक्ष, प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड और निदेशक, पर्यावरण एवं सुदूर संवेदन) ने जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्राचीन संदर्भों पर प्रकाश डाला, हरित आवरण के संरक्षण पर ज़ोर दिया और भूमि, अपशिष्ट और प्रदूषण के वैज्ञानिक प्रबंधन पर ज़ोर दिया।
- डॉ. राजेश्वर सिंह जसरोटिया, आईएफएस (सेवानिवृत्त), ने अनियमित वर्षा, गर्म लहरों, समुद्र-स्तर में वृद्धि और ग्लेशियरों के पीछे हटने के खतरनाक रुझानों की व्याख्या की और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा अपनाने, वनरोपण और पेरिस समझौते की प्रतिबद्धताओं का पालन करने का आह्वान किया।

बी.आर. शर्मा ने जलवायु परिवर्तन को एक नैतिक और सभ्यतागत चुनौती बताया और गांधीजी को उद्धृत किया: “पृथ्वी सभी की ज़रूरतों को पूरा करती है, लेकिन सभी के लालच को पूरा नहीं करती।”
डॉ. अशोक भान ने जम्मू-कश्मीर वन (संरक्षण संशोधन) अधिनियम 2023 के तहत विकास बनाम पर्यावरण के बीच के समझौते पर विचार किया और अनियंत्रित पारिस्थितिक क्षरण के प्रति चेतावनी दी।
इस संगोष्ठी में वन, कृषि और बागवानी विभागों के अधिकारियों, छात्रों, विद्वानों और पेंशनभोगी संघों के सदस्यों ने भाग लिया, जिससे जलवायु-अनुकूल भविष्य की दिशा में बहु-हितधारक संवाद को बढ़ावा मिला।
