The probationers of the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗜𝗙𝗦) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 recently participated in an immersive training program at 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲, Madhya Pradesh. The week-long training aimed to provide hands-on experience in various wildlife management and survey techniques, including wildlife sampling, camera trapping, quantification, and data analysis.
This experiential training was conducted under the guidance of experts from 𝗠𝗣 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 (𝗪𝗜𝗜), and 𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗙𝗔 to develop critical skills in monitoring and conserving wildlife.
𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀
The training emphasized real-world application through the use of camera traps for monitoring animal movements and sampling techniques to study biodiversity. This hands-on learning is vital for the probationers as they prepare for their roles as future forest officers.

The program showcases India’s commitment to wildlife conservation by ensuring that forest officers are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to manage protected areas and wildlife species effectively. The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (𝗠𝗢𝗘𝗙𝗖𝗖) and its affiliated bodies continue to provide such essential training programs to foster conservation efforts across the country.
