In a heartfelt gesture of support, the families of two brave frontline forest staff from Madhya Pradesh, who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty, were provided with ex-gratia assistance as part of the Van Rakshak Project of the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI). This project aims to safeguard the lives of those who put their safety on the line to protect India’s rich wildlife heritage.
The Van Rakshak Project, initiated by WTI, has consistently worked towards offering financial aid and support to forest rangers and guards, acknowledging the critical role they play in conservation. The recent ex-gratia support extends not only financial assistance but also emotional solidarity with the families of these fallen heroes.
