In a significant move towards community-led conservation, Kaziranga National Park facilitated a collaborative exchange between EDC members from fringe villages and the Kotgah Community Reserve Society (KCRS) from Arunachal Pradesh. Together, they discussed innovative ways to protect wildlife corridors between the D’Ering Wildlife Sanctuary and Dibru Saikhowa National Park.
These vital corridors ensure the safe movement of wildlife, such as tigers and elephants, while maintaining habitat connectivity, crucial for biodiversity preservation. The initiative highlights the strength of cross-regional partnerships and community-driven conservation efforts in protecting India’s rich natural heritage.
