At COP16Colombia, Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh, Minister of State for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, unveiled India’s updated National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP). This strategic update aligns with the global Kunming-Montreal Framework and represents India’s commitment to halt biodiversity loss by 2030 and to achieve ecological balance by 2050.

India’s NBSAP emphasizes conservation efforts, sustainable resource use, and effective biodiversity governance. This ambitious plan aims to preserve India’s rich natural heritage and ensure harmony with nature for future generations, setting a benchmark for global biodiversity action.
